Frequently Asked Questions |
| |
Do I have to be at home?
No! Most of our lawns are serviced during normal working hours. Unless otherwise instructed, our applicator will complete his work and leave information pertaining to that day's application at your door. This will explain what was applied and how you can obtain the full benefit of this application.
Can I be notified before a treatment?
Yes! When you decide to start the program, notify the person you get your inspection from and you will be notified prior to any applications.
Can I mow after an application?
We recommend waiting 24 hours to mow and advise not collecting clippings for two mowings. This will prevent any of the fertilizer in the application being removed by bag mowing. This will recycle the nitrogen and will not cause thatch problems.
Can I water after an application?
Yes! We highly recommend watering the lawn after your lawn has been treated. This will make the application start to work faster and give better results.
How will I know my lawn has been treated?
A flag will be left in your lawn along the side of the curb along with information on your door.
Will this increase my mowing?
This program will cut back on the mowing requirements of your lawn by as much as 5 times throughout the season. No weeds will be present and the fertilizer applied is a slow release. This will provide a constact greening of the lawn.
What about weeds that may appear between scheduled applications?
When and if this occurs, just call the office and a representative will take care of the problem at no extra charge.
When will I know to water?
The lawn will turn a bluish-green color when adequate moisture is not readily available. The lawn needs at least one inch of water per week. Avoid light watering, this will result in a shallow root system. Water for long periods of time and at least once a week.
How high or low should I mow the lawn?
Cutting the lawn at the proper height is one of the most important things you can do for your lawn. The lawn needs to be mowed with sharp blades and remember: DO NOT remove more than one-third of the grass at one time. Mow the lawn frequently and never mow the lawn when wet. Information will be left on your door explaining the proper mowing heights for that certain time of the season. |
